Academic CentreThe teaching staff of the faculty both actively participates in international and local conferences organized by other institutions in Latvia and beyond, and organizes them themselves, hosting domestic and foreign colleagues. Several faculty conferences have already become a tradition and are held annually or with a certain regularity, promoting scientific cooperation.
At the beginning of each calendar year - from January to April - the annual scientific conference of the University of Latvia gathers scientists, which has acquired the status of an international conference since 2018. The Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences of the University of Latvia is also actively involved in its organization, offering conference sections in such fields as biology, chemistry, clinical and research medicine, pharmacy, nursing and public health.
